NG1 Brings Leading Industry Experts On Board As Company Scales
Cleantech Innovator Taps Auto Technology Industry Experts to Drive Product Sales and Distribution
ATLANTA (Feb. 25, 2016) – NG1 Technologies, a cleantech solutions company that provides some of the most advanced fuel savings in the diesel transportation industry, recently announced the appointment of three accomplished transportation experts, Richard Whitaker, Chic Childs and Arthur (Art) Meissner. The experts join the team to support NG1’s expansion of beta testing into the natural gas and unleaded transportation industries. They’re charged with leading sales and distribution strategies for the company’s western expansion of the flagship product NG1 TechFlo Exhaust. TechFlo Exhaust is an aftermarket exhaust system for the transportation industry proven to provide fuel savings rates in the double digits, increased engine performance and reduced emission and sound pollution benefits. NG1 chose Whitaker, Childs and Meissner primarily for their strong connections and deep understanding of the trucking and automotive industries.
Richard Whitaker joins NG1 Technologies as the lead engineer, previously working with companies such as Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and Renault Trucks. Whitaker held multiple managerial positions and oversaw the heavy truck manufacturing and installation operations. He will work closely with NG1 founder and inventor Dustin Nord to expand the company’s product lines.
Art Meissner brings 25 years with leading automotive companies including Toyota Motor Sales, USA and Hyundai Motor America, both in the United States and around the world. He first joined Hyundai as part of the U.S. Launch Team and became their first group vice president of sales with an emphasis on import and vehicle distribution. Meissner also brings previous C-suite experience in leading companies through successful turnaround strategies.
Chic Childs is a veteran of the trucking and insurance industries with more than three decades of experience in personal sales and marketing. His focus at NG1 will include bringing a personalization to the sales strategy within the trucking industry.
“Our company is quickly reaching a tipping point and we recognize it is time to bring in additional industry expertise to help accelerate our distribution strategies,” says Cynthia O’Donnell, Chief Executive Officer of NG1 Technologies. “The product we’ve developed is a no-brainer when it comes to fuel savings and emissions control for multiple industries, however, our largest challenge is ensuring we can sell and scale in a sustainable way. Introducing these new viewpoints will help focus our vision for the company’s future while still making valuable headway in our target verticals.”
NG1 Technologies is the 2014 recipient of the Clean Tech Open award, taking home the grand prize at the world’s largest green technology competition. TechFlo Exhaust is the company’s signature offering based on advanced applications of fluid dynamics. The aftermarket exhaust system has no moving parts and has been proven to provide an average of 10 percent fuel savings, while also lowering emissions and sound pollution. The TechFlo Exhaust uses this advanced application of fluid dynamics to increase the velocity of gases away from the engine and reduce back pressure. Overall, this enhances the efficiency of diesel engines and fleet operations within numerous industries and fuel types.
